Personal Life

I am a proud mother of three beautiful kids and two four-legged companions, Wavy and Koda, my beloved dogs. Their presence in my life has brought immeasurable joy and love, and they have become my teachers of compassion and empathy every day. As a mother, I've learned the true meaning of love and selflessness, instilling a profound sense of responsibility and nurturing in me. The lessons I know from my children and pets transcend into every aspect of my life, making me a better human being and enhancing my emotional intelligence, which has been a guiding force in my career, allowing me to build solid and meaningful relationships with candidates, clients, and colleagues alike. 

Professionally, beyond work, I'm a passionate advocate for gender equality, with a focus on empowering women in leadership and entrepreneurship. I'm committed to breaking barriers and promoting inclusivity in all sectors through mentorship, networking, and knowledge-sharing.

Hospitality, Airbnb Hosting, and RV Park

Back in 2016, I decided to become an Airbnb host and welcomed guests from all over the world into my home. This incredible experience taught me the true meaning of hospitality and how it can connect people across different cultures. I took great joy in providing a comfortable and welcoming environment, which allowed me to create meaningful connections with my guests. As an Airbnb host, I learned the importance of anticipating my guests' needs and delivering an exceptional experience that exceeded their expectations. This experience has taught me the value of empathy, attentiveness, and the power of positive experiences.

When the pandemic hit, I saw an opportunity to diversify and decided to venture into a new side hustle that combined my love for adventure and business acumen. Drawing on my hospitality experience, I decided to purchase Blue Heron RV Park/Klamath Ranch in Northern California. This serene haven has been a life-changing decision, and I am excited to continue providing exceptional hospitality to guests from all over the world. With this venture, I now embrace a new role as a proud owner of a picturesque RV park where travelers can relish the beauty of nature while enjoying the comforts of a home on wheels.

As I transitioned back to my role in technical recruitment, these invaluable lessons became an integral part of my approach as a Talent Advisor. I strive to create a similar sense of warmth and inclusivity for the candidates and clients I work with, embodying the spirit of hospitality in my interactions.

Culture, Dance, and Community

Kathak dance has been my passion since I was 5 years old. It has shaped me as a dancer and instilled discipline, dedication, and appreciation for my country's rich cultural heritage. The wise teachings of my mentor, Bipul Das, a student of the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj, have left an indelible mark on my life. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to perform on various stages across India, showcasing the beautiful and graceful Kathak dance, traditional folk dances, and vibrant Bihu dances.

I have been actively choreographing dance performances for our small yet vibrant Assamese community here in Washington and the Bay area, fostering a sense of unity and pride. Through dance, we celebrate our heritage, establish a bond, and create a close-knit family far away from home. Collaborating with fellow dancers, musicians, and community members has taught me the importance of teamwork and the power of shared passions. This has strengthened my leadership and organizational skills and taught me the importance of teamwork while building on and honing my creativity.

Apart from dance, I also love cooking Indian cuisine and hosting gatherings. It brings me joy to treat my loved ones and park staff to a delightful meal. These shared meals have allowed me to forge meaningful connections and build an inclusive community.

Our cultural diversity and heritage should be celebrated and cherished, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in preserving and promoting them.
